Russian Solitaire: from controls to your first round

Look at the complete hand before deciding. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. Use another round to revisit a decision. Take a moment to read the table. Move any face-up card and its tail onto the next higher rank of the same suit. Kings fill empty columns. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Yukon-style deal, same-suit building, no stock. Free solo play, no wagering.

A small practice goal

Work at your own pace. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Understand the aim

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Use another round to revisit a decision. Take a moment to read the table.

Follow these playing steps

  1. Move any face-up card and its tail onto the next higher rank of the same suit. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Move exposed cards onto suit foundations in the stated rank order.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

The controls to know

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use another round to revisit a decision. For a calm first round, focus on one decision.

A closer look at one example

A heart 6 fits a heart 7, not a spade 7. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

Where a round can go wrong

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Check the relevant controls before continuing.
